Each
year in the period I have been
training we have grown in the
number of horses we train and we
are in a happy position now to be
surrounded by good young horses
for the future.
In
addition to my yard at Blackmore
my wife Sophie trains her event
horses there and she is recognised
as a leading event rider
nationally and has competed abroad
for the British team. Sophie helps
with the early work with young
horses and in the tuning up of
jumping.
My
sister-in-law
Chloe Newman also runs a very
successful Point-to-Point yard
here and she clocks up several
winners each season.
We
are also blessed by having one of
the very best veterinary surgeons
in the Country.
Importantly
my yard is sponsored and this
allows owners to recover value
added tax on the purchase and
training of horses under a scheme
recognised by H.M. Customs and
Excise.
Having
our own all weather and grass
gallops and all facilities central
and based on the family farm we
can keep our training charges to a
competitive rate.
You can see therefore that we have
all aspects of training and
development of National and Flat
fully covered.
